Barbara Stewart – President and Founder, created BAVE in 1992 to help the government in Hanoi restructure and modernize its educational infrastructure. Under her leadership, BAVE has become a pre-eminent educational organization in Vietnam. Prior to founding BAVE, Ms Stewart was the Southeast Asian correspondent for the U.N. Observer & International Report, specializing in political analysis of Southeast Asian countries.
Betsy Rosenfield - Vice President, Business Development, has been an innovator in many areas of TV news from production to business development. She was part of the start-up teams for Primetime Live and Discovery News. She also created the first news web store and licensed news products to schools and overseas markets for ABC News. Ms. Rosenfield is the former Vice President of Business Development for ScienCentral, a public/private news organization.
Shane Newmark – Director of Development, specializes
in working with growth companies and non-profits developing
their strategic operating, marketing and financing plans.
She draws on her diverse experience in sectors ranging from
Economic Development to Venture Capital to Technology Consulting.
She has worked with organizations including: Lehman Brothers,
Cablevision, the New York Governor’s Film and TV Office,
and the Museum of Arts and Design.
Rose Lieberman - Sr. Book Editor, joined BAVE in
1996 as publicist, based on her extensive background. She
wrote the teacher manuals, edited the textbooks, and oversaw
corporate research. Rose is the editor of "Classic English For Vietnam,"
a BAVE project that condenses classic and modern literature
to help instill a love of English language in Vietnamese
youth.
